Los símbolos con el número significa que han venidido 2 millones por cada símbolo han vendido 2 millones de discos, por ejemplo Michael Jackson tiene 28, pues ha sido certificado con 56 millones de discos vendidos en todo el mundo. Por tanto
y al ser ventas basadas en certificaciones, quiere decir que seguramente los discos superan esas ventas, incluso en a lo mejor 2 o 4 millones, ya que depende de las certificaciones de cada país, y si te quedas a las puertas no te las dan y aquí contabiliza las ventas en esta lista por dichas certificaciones.

No cuando le dan un disco de ese estilo en España, son copias distribuidas, es decir, las que son llevadas a las tiendas, a todo tipo de tiendas, vamos las que distribuye la discográfica, según cada partida y cada remesa.
Un caso muy curioso, y excepcional, no suele haber tanto desfalco, ha sido el de Bisbal con su último cd, dándole 5 discos de Platino en su 1ª semana y realmente vendió en su primera semana y en el mundo 86.700 copias. Vamos que los 5 platinos los venderá en los próximos 5 años con liquidaciones.
Pero esto no es nada común, normalmente se van dando certificaciones por partidas de distribución, y si te las van dando poco a poco, son más creíbles que en la 1ª semana. Pero repito, eso sólo en España.
